AJAX meets auto-save

Maybe I'm missing something, but in QuestionPro, when you edit or change settings on a question, it pops up the standard (for questionpro) in-context, AJAX-powered window. Very nice, as it minimizes reloading the page for everything, but if I need to make multiple edits, for example, change randomization and required status, and then change the display settings, in a separate "tab" of the interface, you can't do that without making one set of changes, saving (and exiting the interface), and then popping in to do it again with the new change.

Should the settings auto-save if you've made changes and then flipped to a new context in that window? See highlighted screen capture...

If you make any changes in one "context" (or tab), and then switch to another, without hitting save (and exiting the window), the changes are not saved.
